"The Marlin Model 44 Shotgun was offered for sale in the 1920s and early 30s. Normally sold as a 20 gauge sporting gun, this one was modified by Carl Swebilius* into it's current configuration with a short barrel and pistol grip. Edwin Pugsley put it in the Winchester collection in 1945."
