Разница довольно большая на самом деле. Но вот что на самом деле тогда за этим скрывалось - не скажу, ибо давно это было. Но длинный ствол скорее спортивный, сейчас траповые стволы примерно такие же.

Единственное что приходит в голову - длинный ствол для стенда, а короткий для охоты ибо его легче носить на себе целый день
